Nativity Needs You......Chaperones Needed!!!

14 May by Lisa Robertson

Rehearsals for Offspringers next production (Nativity The Musical!) are now underway and so we need to look towards show week. This production has a substantial number of Offspringers in it and will be running in the Chelmsford Theatre in November. The size of the cast along with the size of the venue will mean that we will need a greater number of chaperones for each performance.

We usually run with a team of 5 or 6 per performance, but are envisioning that we will need between 8 and 10 per performance for this show. With this in mind, we are going to need to grow our team of chaperones to spread the load – the more we have the fewer performances each person needs to cover.

If you have an Offspringer in the show, I implore you to consider becoming a chaperone, as without chaperones the show cannot go ahead. If you do not have a child in the show (or a child at all), please consider becoming a chaperone anyway as it is a great way to be involved with the joy of the theatre and the excitement of being backstage without the stress of going on stage. The Offspringers are a pleasure to work with and you are sure to be entertained.

If you are interested in finding out more about what being a chaperone involves or about the process of becoming a chaperone one of our chaperone co-ordinators, Cassie, will be in the foyer at the Parish Centre this evening from 6pm to 8pm, while the Offspringers are rehearsing. Please come along and speak to her. She will be happy to tell you anything you may wish to know, and to start the application process for you should you decide to go ahead!
